National workshop on Marma Science


Marma are the vital areas of the body. The word Marma comes from the Sanskrit origin word meaning death. By definition, a marma point is a junction on the body where two or more types of tissues meet, such as muscles, veins, ligaments, bones or joints. Marma is seen to be soon gaining scientific importance and hence there are a lot studies that are being conducted that revolves around this issue. Thus, considering the importance of marma, a national workshop on this theme is held at The Casino Hotel, Thrissur. The workshop will be held on the 11, 12 May 2019 and is organised by the Ayush Darpan Foundation Trust.

The salient features of the seminar are:- International speakers, Paper presentation sessions and research paper publication in Ayush Darpan e-journal, Participation certificate given to all registered delegates, Marma training workshop, Marma pranayama training session, Vidhagni training session, Kalari marma art demonstration.

The speakers at the workshop include:- Prof. Sunil Joshi, Internationally Renowned Marma Expert; Dr. Uday Kulkarni, Instant Pain Management Expert; Dr. Navin Chandra Joshi, Health & Wellness Expert & Marma Trainer; Dr. Mayank Bhatkoti, Panchakarma expert & Marma Trainer; Dr. Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Marma Trainer and Dr. Vijay Shankar Jadhav, Ayurveda Professor.

The workshop is open to doctors of all dsciplines including Ayurveda doctors, yoga students, BNYS practitioners.
