Ayush Valley Foundation to host ‘National Webinar Series’

After an overwhelming response to its ‘International Webinar Series’, the Ayush Valley Foundation in association with the Ayurveda & Health Tourism Magazine is all set to organise the National webinar Series ‘AYUSHVICHAR’.

The first of the virtual parleys to be attended by experts in the field will be held at 10.30 am on August 22 when the topic ‘Validation and Documentation in Ayurveda’ will be discussed in detail. The webinar will be moderated by Dr Madan Thangavelu, noted Genome Biologist from the University of Cambridge, UK, and co-hosted by Dr Amrita Nandakumar, Medical Officer, Triveni Nursing Home, Trivandrum.

Dr D C Katoch, Advisor, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, will be the ‘Guest Speaker’ while Dr Varghese Thomas from the Trans Disciplinary University, Bangalore, will address scores of viewers as a ‘Panelist’.

While the pandemic has forced scores of people to turn to Ayurveda, thanks to its therapeutic efficacy especially immunity boosting properties, an evidence-based validation and documentation of Ayurvedic drugs is essential for its quality evaluation and global acceptance.

The Ayush ministry has already constituted a task force, comprising experts from both the traditional and modern medical streams, to lay down protocol for Ayurvedic treatment and initiate proper documentation of interventional and research practices.

The speakers will touch upon these topics and more during the nearly two-hour session on Saturday. For further details, log into http://www.ayushvalley.org/ .
