Global Ayurveda Summit 2020


The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Kerala, is organizing the fourth edition of the Global Ayurveda Summit, a virtual exhibition & conference, on the topic ‘Emerging Opportunities for Ayurveda during Pandemic’ from September 15 to October 14, 2020.

The 30-day web event is being organised in association with the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, and supported by the Ayurveda Medical Association of India (AMAI), Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturers Organisation in India (AMMOI) and Ayurveda Hospital Management Association (AHMA). CII is also aided by overseas associations, the National Ayurvedic Medical Association based in the United States, the Association of Swiss Ayurveda Doctors and & Therapists based in Switzerland and the Association for Ayurvedic Medicine in Netherlands. Ayurveda & Health Tourism Magazine is the 'Magazine Partner' for the month-long programme. 

The Global Ayurveda Summit will be inaugurated on Tuesday by Vice President M Venkaiah  Naidu in the presence of  Minister of State for External Affairs & Parliamentary Affairs V Muraleedharan, Padmashree Dr P R Krishnakumar, Managing Director, Coimbatore Arya Vaidya Pharmacy Ltd, Thomas John Muthoot, Chairman, CII Kerala State Council & Managing Director, Muthoot Fincorp Ltd, Dr S Sajikumar, Past Chairman, CII Kerala & Managing Director, Dhathri Ayurveda Pvt Ltd, Dr P M Varier, Convenor, CII Ayurveda Panel & Chief Physician, Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala, Baby Mathew, Co Convenor, CII Ayurveda Panel & Chairman & Managing Director, Somatheeram Ayurveda Group.

The objective of the summit is to showcase Ayurveda and herbal medicine and promote the theme ‘Immunity through Ayurveda’. The eight-day long conference will focus on topics ranging from Ayurveda for Immunity in global scenario, Market opportunities for Ayurvedic Products & Services, Clinical Effectiveness of Ayurveda against infections, Emerging opportunities - Telemedicine, Technology, other sectoral collaborations, Ayurveda for health of Keralities through Local Governments (LSG), Government Developmental Mission in Ayurveda, Global Recognition for Ayurvedic Hospitals.  

Participants from over 25 countries such as Russia, Oman, Korea, Malaysia, Denmark, France, Ukraine, Slovensko, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Taiwan, Muscat, Japan, Israel, Thailand, Spain, Australia, Lebanon and the US will attend the event.

The 4th edition is being conducted as a web event of 30 days with seminars and exhibitions where Global industry leaders, clinical specialists and pioneers from other related disciplines would lead.  The Exhibition will witness participation of 18 companies comprising pharmaceutical companies, Ayurveda hospitals & clinics, Ayurveda Institutions, Ayurveda manufacturing companies, Ayurveda herbal products companies etc.

The Inaugural Session will be followed by a media interaction of local, national and international media houses with Ayurveda Industry representatives.
