International Yoga Day celebrated at Parliament Park, London


Minister of State (Independent charge) Manoj Sinha, High Commissioner of India to UK Y.K.Sinha, Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha Thambidurai, Bob Blackman, MP, Co-Chair and Baroness Verma, Member of All Party Parliamentary Group, Indian Traditional Sciences and Sri M were joined by 500 Yoga enthusiasts from all over the country during the inaugural ceremony and subsequent Yoga display. High Commissioner Y.K.Sinha reminded the guests, sitting on their Yoga mats in the open air garden adjoining the Palace of Westminster, of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s exortations at the inauguration of the 4th International Yoga Day participated by 50,000 Yoga enthusiasts in Dehradun. The Prime Minister had said the biggest mass movement has shown the world the path from ill-health to well-being. This ancient yet modern discipline gives hope for the future of mankind, according to Modi. Minister Manoj Sinha and Thambidurai also reflected the PM’s universal message for human health following the precept that prevention is better than cure.
